Denver Colorado Industrial Floor Coatings
Here is an industrial floor project we completed in Denver Colorado. Like with all projects, whether a garage floor or large project in a restaurant or warehouse, we spend considerable time and effort on surface preparation.
As you can see we grind the surface of the concrete which removes the high spots while exposing flaws. Frequently flaws in the surface are not evident until after we grind the surface. We do the same along the edges. If we find defects, we fill them and grind smooth with hand grinders. Long term performance of our coatings are subject to a healthy surface.
Grinding the surface flat and level prevents imperfections from bleeding through the final coating. We want to avoid waviness in the surface.
In the photo here, notice that we brought the coating up along the wall about 6 inches. We applied cove moldings then applied the coatings. Since the floor is seamless, you could flood the area without water damage. This feature makes it easy to clean the floor. Just wash the surface with water and small amount of detergent, then remove with a neoprine squeegee. You won’t need a mop. It’s a simple, labor saving, industrial floor coating.
